In recent services we have been talking about the experience of God’s word coming to abide in us. As we hold it in our hearts and meditate on it, the Holy Spirit comes. Then we begin to prophesy that Word out of our own mouths.

Saturday, April 30th, was the annual grounds work day at Shiloh. For the past several years, we take one Saturday in early spring for members of the Shiloh church to come together to help on many different projects throughout the Shiloh grounds.

This weekend Shiloh will begin our celebration of Passover. This feast is always a tremendous time of God’s anointing and this year there is a great anticipation for our Passover celebration. I personally am filled with hope for what God is going to do in our hearts.

Through this past winter, the Lord has been speaking deeply to us. From the time of our Feast of Tabernacles celebration in the fall, the Word of the Lord has been leading us closer to our Heavenly Father and to a greater awareness of His love for each of us.

At Shiloh, we have a group of people we call the First Generation. These are the ones who helped establish the beginnings of The Living Word Fellowship and Shiloh. Many of the First Generation, now 70-80 years old, labored alongside John Robert Stevens to build and establish fellowship churches in the days when it was affectionately referred to as “this thing God is doing”. It’s hard to express the love that all of Shiloh feels for this generation of people. We sometimes call them elders; not as a title of a church ministry, or an indicator of age, but as those who sit near the gates of the city and observe and watch over all who pass through (Ruth 4:1-2, Joshua 20:4). Our elders carry this responsibility as a commission – they are the intercessors who cover and bless all of the generations who are coming up after them. And they carry it with great faithfulness and intensity of spirit.
